CommBank uses ATMs to have conversations with customers

Commonwealth Bank is using its ATMs to start conversations with its customers in an attempt to better understand the financial goals of Australians. Their ATMs will prompt customers to answer several questions including “Is the Australian property dream still a reality?” and “Do our kids have the skills they need for tomorrow?”

Doctor 2.0

Mobile platform being developed for Australians to connect with healthcare practitioners

NAB is working with technology startup Medipass Solutions to develop a mobile platform that will connect patients with healthcare practitioners. It is expected to include the ability to allow patients to make appointments, receive cost estimates upfront, and process payments and claims. The full launch is expected to take place in mid-2017.

Take the car, leave the card

Petrol payments from the Jaguar dashboard

Owners of new Jaguar cars in the UK can now use their touchscreen to pay for fuel at Shell service stations through an app. The app uses geolocation technology and can process payments through PayPal or Apple Pay. Receipts can be displayed on screen and emailed to users to integrate with expense management tools.
